Changing Layouts
Just a quicky as I have adjusted my standard layout a little. Thought that I’d share it here if anyone is interested in using it. It is designed for a widescreen monitor, but if you have 4:3 monitor then you can probably adapt it to fit.
I’ve included a r.10 and r.11 version as the render settings changed between those versions and as it they are docked in the layout it kinda made sense!
You can load it by double clicking the .l4d file. Then if you want to save it, you can either choose Window > Layout > Save As Start Up Layout, or Window > Layout > Save Layout As. If you Save Layout As, then you need to save it in the Library > Layout Folder. It will then be in the Layout menu in the top left, whenever you need it.

Thanks for sharing this layout. One thing that I have always wanted to do was to save the output and frame rate as well. I typically use 1920×1080 and project settings to 24 frames. Is there a way to save these settings to be default as well?

You can indeed set it up so that all your document settings are there for each new scene.
Basically create a new document. Set up all your render settings, tool settings, document settings etc. Then save it in to the same directory as the Cinema4D application. Call it new.c4d
Now whenever you create a new scene, it will use the new.c4d as the template for this. In older versions you needed a file called template.c4d for when the program started and new.c4d for all new scenes. Now you only need the new.c4d

I know you had a dual-monitor layout on your old HYPA blog, do you still have that lying around somewhere? I can’t seem to find the one I downloaded way back when.
