Hi, thanks for your comments and I’m glad you like the look. The motorbike was originally modeled for our discovery promo which you can see on the main site. Being a bit of a bike myself I wanted a piece of art for my office.
It was built fairly low res using primitive objects. The look has been created with Ambient Occlusion, some fresnels all combined with a crazy colour scheme. There is a basic lighting set-up with area shadows. This was then output with a matte for the bike and an RGB render along with a separate AO pass. The final composite was completed in Photoshop. The render was output on the renderfarm using Tim’s Renderslicer – nice one!
Kind of Andy Gilmore or MWM Graphics meets Orange County Chopper… I agree with the above posts..
Great model, great use of colour and please get a tutorial on here of how you did it…
Great colors and great look.. Just like the new logo.. Really great work! Hope to see more!! Much more!
How do you achieve this color texture and rendering?
I WANT! tutorial on maybe how to make the various parts, and how you rendered it?
AWESOME!
Tim,
I’ve always been impressed with how you use colour.. Thanks for all your great tuts over at FXPHD and Cineversity
Thanks vman, although Mark actually made this render, but I’m glad you enjoy my tutorials. I’ll keep them coming.

tim,
i use c4d and wanted to be able to model high quality cars. can cinema 4d be used to get results as good as 3D studio max?
There are plenty of examples of excellent cars, modeled and rendered in Cinema4D. Give it a go?
